Staff Profile

Kath Wilkinson

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Kath Maguire

I joined PenARC in 2016 as a mixed methods researcher to work on various research and evaluation projects across child and adult health and social care. My research interests primarily focus on translating research into practice to improve services. I am also interested in knowledge mobilisation, implementation science, and methods of working with others to build research capacity and form local research collaborations.

My research is applied and co-productive in nature. I have worked on a number of research projects involving developing, delivering and evaluating group-based interventions, and work mostly with research focused on supporting vulnerable individuals including children and families and the elderly. I have a keen interest in more creative research methodologies, community engagement and ways of working with ‘hard-to-reach’ individuals and communities, and a particular interest in knowledge brokering, collaborative research and co-production methods engaging a range of stakeholders.
