I joined PenCRU (Peninsula Childhood Disability Research Unit), primarily to work on the Healthy Parent Carers programme, which is a feasibility study of a peer-led, group-based, health promotion intervention for parent carers of disabled children.
Prior to this, my work has been focussed on learning and development in the health and social care sector, including roles in the local authority, NHS and a health charity. I originally trained as a nurse and have a particular interest in programmes and interventions that support health and wellbeing.
