There are a variety of routes through which research questions become projects, but our adoption processes have the same three key aims:   

  • Conduct patient-focused research reflecting the needs of the public and the NHS
  • Support evidence-based service change for the benefit of patients and the public
  • Build capacity within the local health economy to generate and effectively use the results of research

South West Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Evaluation

The IAPT evaluation project is investigating how variation in the design of IAPT services affects patient access to services and re-covery from anxiety and depression. Read more

Social Prescribing - Understanding what works in, and supporting provision of, nature - based therapeutic interventions for people with an identifiable mental illness

We have been awarded funding from DEFRA to identify what works in the use of nature-based therapeutic interventions for people with an identifiable mental illness. The new work is closely aligned with the MRC funded Nature on Prescription project. Read more
