There are a variety of routes through which research questions become projects, but our adoption processes have the same three key aims:   

  • Conduct patient-focused research reflecting the needs of the public and the NHS
  • Support evidence-based service change for the benefit of patients and the public
  • Build capacity within the local health economy to generate and effectively use the results of research

PenCHORD - HepFree: Chronic viral hepatitis in ethnic minorities - strategies to prevent the predicted increase in mortality

This research is aimed at finding better ways to test and treat people from ethnic minorities for hepatitis B and hepatitis C. PenCHORD’s work programme will focus on whether screening immigrants at early stages would be cost effective for the NHS. Read more
