Making Sense of Care Homes Virtual Workshop

This workshop is aimed at researchers from across PenARC and Exeter University who are (or who are interested in) working with those who own, work, live in or visit care homes in a research capacity. It will be co-delivered by researchers involved in the ExCHANGE Collaboration and local care home providers.

The key aims of the workshop are to:

  • Learn how best to engage with staff, residents and family members in care homes
  • Understand how care homes work and the things that matter to them
  • Learn how to undertake research that is useful and relevant to care homes
  • Understand the barriers and enablers to working with care homes and implementing changes
  • Understand the practicalities of conducting research with care homes
  • Provide an opportunity to meet like-minded colleagues, share experiences and ask questions
